Vojta's reflex locomotion in hereditary polyneuropathies
Vinciková, Lenka ; Kobesová, Alena (advisor) ; Truc, Michal (referee)
CMT disease is the most frequently type of the hereditary polyneuropathy. In the Czech republic are some 2 - 4 thousand people with this disease. Clinical picture is characterized by deterioration peripheralnerves, that faces to muscular atrophy and mobility disorders. Lower limbs are affected early than upper limbs. On the lower extremitywe observe typical deformity progress - pes cavus. Fingers on the hand are in claw position. The disturbed peripheral nerves and foot deformity affect balance, movement and stability. The scope of my work was assessment of the value of the Vojta's reflective locomotion for the hereditary polyneutopathy. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Author: Zdenka Havlová Institution: Department of Rehabilitation Medicine The Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Králové Title: Kinesiotherapy in idiopathic scoliosis focusing on the reflexlocomotion Supervisor: Mgr. Bohumila Horká Pages: 89 Inserts: 5 The year of presentation: 2013 Keywords: idiopathic scoliosis, ontogenesis, axial systém, reflexlocomotion The thesis deals with the kinesiotherapy in idiopathic scoliosis taking into account the possibilities of Vojta method. It deals also with the history of this disease, incidence in the population, relation between ontogenetic development and development of the axial system. The thesis also describes the treatment options and introduces the most used method of kineziotherapy. It contains two case studies of the patients with the idiopathic scoliosis where the Vojta method was used as the main method of kinesiotherapy.
Stimulation of person with physical and multiple disabilities through Vojta's therapeutic concept
Kotrbatá, Eliška ; Hájková, Vanda (advisor) ; Marádová, Eva (referee)
Diploma Thesis - Stimulation of person with physical and multiple disabilities through Vojta's therapeutic concept - is about aplication of Vojta's reflex locomotion method at newborns and infants. The theoretical assessment is describing the development, basic principles and the use of this method. Vojta's special diagnosing will be also addressed. The next major chapter will be the description of muscular dystrophy and consisting of basic division, description of diagnosing principals and treatment. One chapter is dedicated to Girdle Muscular Dystrophy and its manifestation and difficulties with the diagnosis. Empirical data is being collected through a questionnaire which was given to parents with newborns and infants and will provide a complex vision analysis on Vojta's method and its application to newborn and infants born with physical and multiple disabilities.

Name: Kordíková Ivana Supervisor: Mgr. Soňa Marečková Opponent: Title of bachelor thesis: The effect of reflex locomotion of Vojta therapy on development of child in the physiotherapy ABSTRACT The subject of bachelor thesis is the Vojta's method. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The first chapter of the theoretical part is focused on motor developement of healthy child. The second chapter is about the metod of reflective locomotion - about it's characteristic, goals, princip and progress. The third chapter describe diagnostics, therapy and also importance of good comunication among parent and child. In the practical part I want to use the method of research. I would like to find out the effect of method not olny on the children's patients but also on their parents who practiced the method on their children. The Emotional Expression of Mother in connection with application of Vojta Therapy.
KASTNEROVÁ, Drahomíra
The baccalaureate thesis deals with the use of Vojta induction therapy for the treatment of children suffering from various degrees of motor disability ranging from the mildest one up to poliomyelitis, and furthermore with how the mother responds to the child's disability and to the need of intensive exercise. The Vojta principle is understood as the most effective way of therapy in these children. The main aim of the thesis was to evaluate the treatment efficacy precisely according to Vojta, and to determine the mother's emotiveness during the treatment. The respondents included thirty mothers of children in the age up to 18 months that came to my office for exercises. The theoretic part describes facts related to this paediatric disease, which include etiology, its symptoms, clinical image, diagnostics, prevention, the treatment itself, and the role of the family and the mother in caring for the disabled child. In terms of methodology, the practical part is supported by the principles of qualitative- quantitative research based on secondary data analysis and direct observation. Two questionnaires were used as the means to complete a partial goal of the thesis, thus to analyze the mothers' emotions during the child's therapy according to Vojta - Zung Anxiety Self-Assessment Scale and my own questionnaire. Kinesiological assessment of spontaneous motility, of the quality and quantity of physical posture in the development of stand up mechanisms confirmed objective improvement in all respondents after the therapy according to Vojta, which is evidenced by the case report attached. The research indicated reduced anxiety levels of the mothers after three months of exercises with the child using the Vojta method. Certain aspects, which include the frequency, dosage, timely initiation of therapy, proper guidance of the parents by the physiotherapist and the parents' approach to the therapy, also exert an effect on the efficacy of Vojta therapy.
The application of Vojta Method within complete rehabilitation system in the ARPIDA Centre in České Budějovice.
SOUKUPOVÁ, Věra
The diploma thesis at hand aims to find out to what extent Vojta method can stimulate child?s ability to receive and actively participate in other means of the comprehensive rehabilitation system. The diploma thesis observes application of Vojta method within the comprehensive system of rehabilitation provided in ARPIDA in České Budějovice. The diploma thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part deals with the current state of the issue in question, provides characteristics of individual means of the comprehensive system of rehabilitation, and acquaints the reader with the technique named reflex locomotion, which is referred to as the Vojta method. The practical part comprises of two chapters. The first chapter provides the reader with a description of the selected facility. The second chapter introduces case reports of the clients completed with analyses of interviews held with parents and other members of the multidisciplinary team. Using the mentioned materials, the author produced six case reports of selected clients of ARPIDA centre. Five out of six observed clients were diagnosed with infant cerebral palsy in different forms with combined defects. For the purposes of the diploma thesis, the author used the method of qualitative research. The practical part is based on analyses of medical records and personal documentations of selected clients of ARPIDA centre; author?s own direct observation; analyses of interviews held with parents and other members of the multidisciplinary team; and observations made by the author while performing her duties as a physiotherapist. Finally, it was concluded that application of Vojta method is necessary within the comprehensive system of rehabilitation which strives to reduce the effects of the disability and improve the quality of life in subjects with the said disability. The author?s own research was designed to verify the findings learned from the literature reviewed for the purposes of the theoretical part. The conclusion of the practical part contains a summary of results, assessment of accomplished goals; and research outcomes and recommendations. The thesis may be found useful by both experts and students who have professional interests in the issue; yet, it should also be made available to the members of the multidisciplinary team as a feedback.
